Fact or Fiction

Postby Fatman » Wed Nov 24, 2004 12:04 pm

Would anybody know if there is any truth in the fact that left hind legs make better Hams than right hind legs !

I have been told that all pigs scratch with their right hind leg and never with their left hind leg, thus making the left leg the better leg to make a Ham with.

Mhh, wouldn't that maybe depend if the particular pig was right or left hinded? :-)

The word "plonker" is surrounded by mystic and confusion though the more commonly accepted meaning is the "buyer of an inferior product" as in wine "plonk"

hope that this is some use to you

plonker Noun. 1. A penis.
2. Fool, idiot, a despicable person.

Or if you still really like your meaning go to

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=plonker

and add it to their dictionary

hope that this is of some use to you

Pig Trotter Poll

Postby Parson Snows » Sat Dec 11, 2004 7:14 am

For your information 20 % of the people who answered the "Pig Trotter" poll got it right. If you were to purchase pig's trotters they would typically come from the front legs ONLY as the rear legs are split and run through with a gambrel to hang the carcass up by. They are normally sold off for other purposes.
