I'm with BriCan! The smell of bacon cooking on a cold day will draw them in. Team up with products from the other vendors to create a sandwich; make a win for all and they'll send you traffic.

just tried a flattened out pheasant breast which cooked quickly, popped it in a brioche bun with salad and a balsamic glaze..........tasted good. Will experiment with bacon (like the apples NCP) and also thought of doing some fried Christmas pud in butter and serve it with a brandy sauce.

So, here we go again......years ago there was a recipe on here to make your moulds non stick, I think it was equal parts of melted butter and flour by volume. I also think it was called Bakers Miracle. Can anyone help me track the formula down?

Cheers WW

I think it's Bakers Secret. Rik von Trense posted the recipe, which I used to good effect.

Wasn't it equal parts oil, butter and flour?

Thank you both, most helpful.

I have treated myself to a Victorian game pie mould and looking at all those lumps and bumps its going to need some form of release, I wonder what they did in Victorian times....

To cut a long story short, posted elsewhere in the forum and wheels pointed out this thread.

I was investigating setting up a small business, going down the FM route.
A contact in environmental health put me off, listing rules and regs that made me run a mile.

How has anyone managed to overcome these and make the business viable? Seems a nightmare!
