Is it just me or has anyone else noticed the board seems really slow at the moment?

Yep really slow for me too. I don't know if there is a DDos attack going on at the moment. But quite a few sites are slow at this time.

I must admit I have found the whole internet slow today. Increased use due to the Bank Holiday? It certainly seems to slow down a lot after four o'clock and the kiddies are let out of school!

Copy of mail from my hosts:

Hi

Further to your enquiry, there is no evidence in the error logging to explain the 'slowness' when serving web pages, however as a precaution we have stopped and restarted all http requests to the server and retested. We now believe that the server is serving web pages as normal but please report any further issues and we will investigate.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Regards
Support

Are these sites running slower than usual? Forum seems to be running slow on sausagemaking and webmail is also very slow on both sites.

Please look into into when you get a minute.

That reply from your hosts was a bit offhand, bearing in mind that you are running a business and it could have cost you some orders. Even though it was a bank holiday I would have thought that internet shopping would have been even more busy. Ironic that when they reset the server it sped up to normal level. Even with 2mb broadband I was waiting over 2 mins..
