new camera

Postby Franco » Wed Jul 13, 2005 10:08 pm

I've just bought a new camera and got a copy of photoshop CS2 :D

I'm going to be adding a photo tutorial on sausage making from start to finish soon and thought I'd get some practice in.

I had a clearout of my spice cupboard last night and these sausages are the result. I can't remeber the exact quantities I used but ingredients included:
Caraway seed
chilli flakes
brown mustard seeds
onion powder
salt.

VERY nice camera Franco,

How did you manage to get the domestic authority to agree to it?
I've been trying for ages, but I'm struggling to justify the 1K+ as "essential investment" so SWMBO just says no.

Of course, I'm not jealous or anything but, I do think those bangers look horrible and I hope you choke

Platypus,

I always wanted one of these but the 1500 price tag put me off, I then saw one on ebay, the guy was selling it as it was too complicated for him so I asked him to stop the auction and gave 850 for it. This was only for the body and I had to but 2 lenses to go with it.

The camera is fantastic if a little heavy  I have been getting into shooting in RAW format which is very rewarding.

I'll post some more snaps as and when..

Franco

BTW the mrs thinks this camera was 400 and she thought that was too expensive

A good lens can cost upwards of 1k - makes the camera look cheap.

God job Franco. Yes a good camera is expensieve but in the long run it is cheaper. My wife, a photographer shoots digital and with film and has invested at leat Can.$ 20'000 in a few lenses and camera bodies. Most of the cameras and lenses she has now for many years, that would not be possible with less expensieve material.

The sausages on the pic look great, makes me hungry.

Regards.
