Our first 2 pigs are "booked in" for Monday 10th Oct. Whilst discussing cuts etc with our friendly butcher, he was sure the slaghterhouse would not let us keep the blood.

Is this a legal thing, or something particular to the slaughterhouse? We cerainly don't want to miss the opportunity for black pudding!

Any help appreciated!

If I were you I'd contact the abbatoir and clarify the procedure with them. There must be laid down procedures regarding what you keep. Would be a pity if you miss out on the blood or any of the offal.
