Anyone tried this air-dried ham from Spain? It is supposed to be the top quality ham from black hooved pigs fed only on acorns and aged for at least 36 months. It is delicious, but at 50 quid a kilo - whoa....
I used to buy bin waggons from Barcelona and a spanish supplier sent me a whole leg in what I can only describe as a wooden coffin it was huge and tasted brilliant.
You might find some interesting advice in the forum under Spanish Jamn Serrano. It's nice to see that other people in this country share my enthusiasm for spanish cured ham. Hopefully the demand will grow and we'll be able to get it in the uk soon
