I bought one last year. It works, but the alarm can't be turned off (so far as I can discover) so whenever the temperature goes over one of the presets (the highest of which is about 80 C) it becomes very annoying.

I thought I'd get one and see if it was any good, at that price I can take a chance. The unit is very compact and accurate. I was using 2 probes before (Lab grade K-type thermocouples) which were great but not remote/portable. onewheeler is right in that you turn off the alarm by pressing any button but a couple of seconds later it's beeping again. There is an off switch on the back though so I guess it's no big deal. At least I can now go to bed on an overnight smoke and only need to get up when it's done instead of checking on it every hour. Very pleased overall and good value too.
