Sausage hanging hooks

Apologies for the crude drawing, but I'm looking for hooks like the one I have drawn for hanging sausage (about 50cm in length). We have a load of these at work already but nobody knows where we got them from, and due to an increase in production we need more. I have been unsuccessful with our suppliers and have found nothing online. These are just used for hanging fresh sausage on the rails in our fridge and not for smoking or charcuterie etc.
I'd be grateful if anyone could point me to somewhere that sells these, or if anyone has any for sale that would be great

Hi, how thick is the wire. I assume that it's fairly thick so that it doesn't bend under the weight of the sausage?

Probably close to 1cm thick. You can hang about 30-40 lb of sausage on the ones we have

They almost look like a coat hanger.
Maybe you could you get steel coat hangers and cut to size?
Or make them yourself from stainless steel wire?

I know that is not really what you were asking for, but I live in the type of country were we normally have to be a bit inventive to get what we want :)

Wire wouldn't be strong enough; they're to hang 30-40 lbs of sausage.
I make about 500lbs per week and just last week I made my first batch of raw chorizo (which I'm drying for a couple of weeks) so I'm running out of hooks to hang all the stuff on.

Hi Dhiggy,
The best solution is to make them yourself. Find a supplier of stainless 10 or 12mm rod. If you can put your hands on an Oxy torch you are home and hosed as you have a sample available. Work out the total length of each hook (be accurate though) and have the rods pre-cut for easier shipping.
Easy to make and cheap as chips.
Good Luck,
Jan.

Try googling open ended trouser hangars. I have some of these and they are very strong. I have a couple that are around 1cm thick.
