I'm posting this on behalf of a member who can't get on the forum at the moment:

Hope the more electrically minded of you could give some advice?
I've acquired the following: http://www.auberins.com/index.php?main_ ... cts_id=377 , as it comes from the U.S. Though it is ok for 220V it is set up for US plugs. To overcome the issue of having a U.S. Mains plug I have purchased a 'Visitor to UK' adapter which fits nice and snug and tight, my issue is the temp and humidity sockets on the unit, they are also US spec so I either have to get more adapters which I feel will make the unit rather plug heavy and potentially unsafe or perhaps buy a couple of these : http://www.amazon.co.uk/wire-North-Amer ... B001DHJVUO and rewire the fridge and humidity/dehumidify units, what is your opinion?, is it easy to wire a U.S. Plug with UK wires? Can you make me aware of any potential risks.i.e live/neutral mix ups

Many thanks
Ped

If the adapters are a good fit (ie not ultra cheap) then they would be safe.
Rewiring would also be very simple but I wouldn't want to wait! If you do, just put the new wires in the same relative positions as the plugs that you just removed them from.
