I'd forget about supermarket suppliers; too many answers like the one you got (owing to the strict regulatory setting of a supermarket), plus the meat (or fat) ain't exactly fresh (it's a long time between killing and selling in the supermarket's supply chain).
Find and ask a butcher that is breaking down carcasses. But keep in mind that they might be using the back fat for their own sausages.
I get mine from a butcher who sells rare breed pork... one drawback is that the rare breed beasts he gets are quite small and the fat correspondingly thin.
