Spares for reber

I'd like to future-proof my investment and buy some spares for the reber. I suspect the bit which will get the most wear and tear is the rubber pluger.

Do you have a price on these?

I'll send the factory an email now and let you know on Monday.

Could you also find out if there are different tube sizes available for the Rebers? I find that I can't fit much of the 28mm collagen casings onto the standard hog-sized tube - partly because it is tapered. Is there a smaller tube, or perhaps a straight one which can be purchased?

Aris,

The only tubes available are the 4 that come supplied with the stuffer.

Can you see if you can source some 3rd party ones? I see a nice selection on www.alliedkenco.com - but would prefer to buy locally.

Do you find you have trouble using collagen casings with the standard reber tubes?

Aris, 4 tubes come supplied with the Reber suitable for everything from chipolatas to haggis, why do you need any more tubes? These are designed for the Italian market and are suitable for their.

I just want different shapes and sizes.

As I said before, I find that I can't put enough casings on the tubes because they are tapered - the further up the tube you go, the wider it gets, which means with the 28mm collagen casings, I can only get a 3 or 4 feet of casings on there - meaning I need to re-load often.

Even with natural casings which are 34mm and strtech a bit I can get more on the tube, but find that it does get a bit tight.

Any news on the spares?

Regarding replacement tubes. From what I have read, the tapered ones like the ones that ship with the reber are more suited to natural casings, while the straight ones are more suited to collagen casings.
