Sourcing Pork in the UK

Hi, sorry if this is dealt with elsewhere, but there's a lot of threads to look through... Trying to find a reliable source of pork for (domestic) sausagemaking, preferably rare breed or at least responsibly farmed. Supermarket stuff is rather bland, and my local butchers (Nottingham area) not very helpful. Trouble is, all the places I can find on the internet are extremely expensive and don't seem to sell sausage bits, just chops and prepared joints etc. Any advice out there? Thanks in advance.

Firstly, ring local abattoirs and ask them where to source from. If no joy there, ask around, you may find a local farmer who'll spit a pig with you, But you need to be prepared to buy at least half a pig to get a deal.

It's not such a lot when you've got some joints, chops, bacon, sausage etc.
