Sirman IS8 stuffer

Postby Lance Yeoh » Tue Jul 04, 2006 4:58 am

Anyone used SIRMAN stuffers before? I was offered a stuffer (the only one I could find here) but the capacity is kind of large. It's a 8 litre capacity crank stuffer and I'm afraid it might be too large for a small timer like me. The price sounds reasonable Ringgit Malaysia 3,000.00 which is about 500 UK pounds.
Any comments on this stuffer? Pic below.

Franco's 8-litre stuffer takes about 5kg of meat if that helps.

I've taken the plunge and ordered the stuffer today, will be going over to pick my new toy up tomorrow evening. Hopefully it'll work like a charm.
Will post pics of the new toy in action when I use it. Hehehe I'm sooooo excited.

Got my new toy yesterday, it's huge! Bigger than expected actually. It's got 2 speed and it runs really smooth. Gonna put it to use tonight for a batch of sweet italian sausages. I'm soooooo happy.
here's the stuffer clamped to my worktable.

Hi W. Wizard,
It's only 3:30pm here in Kuala Lumpur and I'm still in the office. Gonna make them only after dinner around 8.00pm. Will post pics of the stuffer in action and post tomorrow.

Good luck Lance, hope all goes well. I have actually seen one of these in use in a "Carrefour" Supermarket in Jakarta. Looks like a nice heavy duty machine, the sort of thing which will be handed down from generation to generation! :)

Made 1kg of Sweet Italian Sausage and 1kg of the same but with added cheddar cheese in the mixture. The stuffer was really easy to use and made short work of the 2kg of mixture. Casing slides onto the horn with ease and came off smoothly with no hang ups. After stuffing is was quite easy to clean up as well. Easy to dissable for cleaning and after a spot of oil on the O-ring, I assembled it back and it's ready for another batch tonight.
Here a pic of the stuffer in action.

Thanks for the comments.

Jenny,
The stuffer is kinda bigger than I expected it to be. but could not find one smaller here.
