10 -12mm Stuffing tube

Postby corromant » Thu Mar 01, 2012 12:56 pm

I've just taken the plunge & ordered a Pro-V 3L stuffer from Franco.

The smalest stuffing tube it comes with is 16mm, I would like a 10 or 12mm tube but I only seem to be able to find these in USA as part of a set of 4 at about £24 which I could live with, but with postage added this comes out at about £55.

Anyone know where I could get a single 10 or 12 mm tube preferably in stainless & preferably sourced form the UK.

Thanks

I think that Weschenfelders have started selling them - you'd have to check the inlet size though - theirs are 52mm.

Thanks for that Phil, but they only come as a pair & I dont want the 20mm one.

I have decided to make my own & have ordered a piece of 12mm stainless tube & will turn up a flange & silver solder the two bits together. There should be enough tube to make 3 or 4. If any one else wants one let me know, should be about £10 posted to the UK.

The stuffer arrived today so I have given it a test today, much easier than using the mincer to stuff. Having said that I will still use the mincer if only doing a small trial batch.
