The Sausage Maker (TSM) #10 Manual Stainless Meat Grinder...

Postby SausageBoy » Fri Mar 16, 2012 11:21 pm

I wanted a #10 clamp-on grinder so that I could quickly grind up small batches without hauling out the serious equipment.

We've lucky to have a new Sausage Maker retail store here with 4 miles of home. 8)
I headed to the store yesterday to check out the grinders.
I know that some stuff the Sausage Maker has is very high priced , but overall I'm very impressed with the quality of their equipment, so I brought home the grinder.

Compared to the LEM #10 stainless manual grinder that I ordered and had to send back because the collar wouldn't screw on as far as it should, :x, the Sausage Maker grinder is much better built!!
The plates and knife are also of much higher quality than those that came with the LEM.

I highly recommend it.

I tend to agree. The prices seem high on some TSM stuff, but the quality is right there on a lot of it, too.

It's kind of torn up the bottom of my kitchen work table, but my #10 has served me well when I need to run a few pounds through the grinder.

I really like the looks of the digital 30 lb. smoker that they have..... but not the price tag!

The top is hinged to make loading the sticks a lot easier and it's well built!!

The price of all their smokers has gone beyond reason. That's why I'll build my own, with enough room that I won't cook the bottom of the hanging sausages trying to get smoke started.

I like the size of the 30 lb unit, but the price is ridiculous. And I wish they offered the digital control unit by itself for DIY upgrades.

I've seen very good results from guys building an UDS for under $100.

Yes, I love my UDS, but there are times when I need something that's insulated.

That's relatively new. They hadn't decided on a digital control standard, last I looked, and weren't offering the controller by itself. It is pricey. I can get a multi-program controller for that, elsewhere.
