Can I ask, how does that vivarium dehumidifier work? You say that it is some kind of heater?
How does that work to remove humidity by heating (if it does indeed do that?).

BTW that's one neat piece of work stborgke - congratulations on a job well done. Mine's not 'hard wired' so has far more wires in the chamber.

I have dabbled very briefly in using a humidistat, but it's more of an industrial version and way beyond the abilities of the DHC-100, as far as I can see, but that's another story.
Have anice holiday (I thought today was longest day in UK too, but my calendar says that was yesterday so I am confused).

Not so much that, because reducing the temperature should actually increase the RH (if the amount of moisture stays the same), but for some reason when the fridge compressor is running the RH drops - I guess that's why fridges normally have low RH.
