Dog that looks great. Once you make your own bacon youll never go back. Now we need to grow pigs with more bacon slabs on them. LOL :D

Dog,
I noticed in your recipe that you covered with syrup after it was out of the bag and rinsed and before smoking. Is that normal and was it a mess in the smoker?

Yep, it glazes the bacon and the is a mess to deal with at the end.... but well worth it.
