Sorry guys. Most of my life is spent in the BBQ world.
KCBS is Kansas city barbeque society. They hold contests all over the country. The 4 meats that are competed in are Chicken, Pork Ribs, Boston Butt or whole shoulder, and beef Brisket. The anything butt categories are just that, anything butt the 4 above listed catigories. Sausages are a big hit. Then the desert categories are the favorite. Just about anything goes here.
My contest will be run KCBS style and rules but we are not getting sanctioned this year. We are seeking a Governers proclamation to get State Championship status.
Hope this helps clear up some of the questions.

The prize money isnt much this year. Hopefully next year we will have bigger sponsors. Right now there is over $3500 in cash and prizes. GC is $1000, RGC $500, $250 for 1st, 150 for 2nd.
