I'd worry about the zinc plating on the trash can....and a fire....grease and a heating element....

Yep, you can make a hot smoke really easily.

For smaller items, breasts, fillets of fish etc, a lidded wok, biscuit tin or couple of cheap roasting tins, along with a camping stove, will suffice.

Hey John,

As long as your temperatures don't get too hot you should be ok with the zinc garbage can. Check this out for your garbage can smoker

Better yet would be a big drum.

Thanks Darrin, never heard of that guy...really interesting ...although a drill for grinding pepper is a bit much... :lol:
