I was just looking at a 15kg gas tank the other day with similar ideas.

There's always someone with a bigger bottle than me...

MUCH bigger in this case :)

Should do the trick but it's only 250 gallon so it may get a bit tight at times.

Anyone have any leads on some expanded steel?

For future cutters, its much easier to locate and weld your hinges in place before cutting the entire door openings out, makes final alignment a breeze.

I don't think so but it may work on some applications.

After cutting the doors you (in most cases) need to add a lip to it so it overlaps the cooking chamber and seals properly and that's going to add another inch or so to the door itself. Now that welded on hinge will be in the way and out of place causing you to have to grind it off and start over.

Is expanded steel what I would think of as steel grid?
