So Ive ordered the Bradley and extra Bisquettes, got 2 Halves of pig in the Freezer waiting, and now realise I should have a decent thermometer for checking the internal meat temperature.
I'd like one that can be left in the meat with the controls on the outside.
Anyone have any recomendations for a supplier please ?

Get a dual probe remote thermometer, you can monitor the temp of your smoker and the meat from your easy chair. I use a "Maverick # 73".

Yes, Ive read up on what to get but importing one from the US is expensive.
My point being, are there any UK suppliers of decent remote thermometers?

There's an Ebay seller in the USA that ships to the UK.

I use several of these and have had no problem with them. I do not think there are any available locally that compare in quality.

I have what is essentially the single channel version of this and it seems to work well,
If you do a search on Weber remote thermometer you can find some in this country for about £40, but although they will talk to you they aren't actually as useful as the Maverick dual probe ones.

Just bit the bullet and bought the Maverick
The Bradley arrived this morning, now to make up a mating unit for the smoke generator and my wine barrell for cold smoking.
