Regarding the ProBBQ what a great little gadgect this is.
It gets better every time I use it.
I loaded up this morning with herring and haddock fillets and its been burning for 9 hours now with a steady head of fine smoke, and there still looks to be at least an hour left.
I wonder what the record is for burning time with the BBQ
The kippers and smoked haddock will be coming off the production line tomorrow.
There is a smokehouse where I live and I buy my fish fillets there.
Last Monday was my lucky day when I made my latest purchase I told the guy that I would be smoking the fish and to my delight he gave me a carrier bag of oak sawdust.
I should get a few batches out of that.
I can taste them kippers already!

Happy Smoking

The CSG definatly rocks! I have not timed mine to the end as it is always still going when I go to bed! To date it has never stopped before the end.

I have only used the ProBBQ dust and have a stack o oak, apple and hickory from them. I have thought to replicate it myself, it looks just like the dust produced from my Dads chop saw. Am thinkingof masacreing a piece of wood wth it. BUT the results are so good with the official stuff and the handy pre measured bags it comes in makes it well worth the few quid it costs me.

I've just received my CSG (Thanks Mac for such a quick delivery) and I'm really impressed with the simplicity of it. It's currently sat in my kettle barby with some cheddar, brie and cammenbert.

I'll be picking up a food grade 55 gallon oil drum next week to make a smoke house out of - I can see the wife rolling her eyes already !!!
