CSG/Bradley Temp Rise

I did some cold smoking over the weekend with the CSG placed inside on the floor of the Bradley, I found that the temperature inside the Bradley increased by about 7C over ambient.

The Bradley is quite well insulated, so maybe that's not unexpected, but I am slightly surprised. Interesting to know though.

Dave, I was a little surprised as well, I'd expected only a couple of degrees. Its possible that the probe was in the convection current, but then some food is likely to be in that as well. However, this still not likely to be an issue except on hot sunny summer days, maybe we'll get some of those this year :D

That does seem high, I used mine in a plywood box and saw around 3 degrees temperature rise, in fact when I smoked on a really cold day I added a tealight to the chamber to keep the temperature above freezing, even then I only managed to get the chamber to 8 degrees.
