Cod's Roe

Cod's Roe

Postby wheels » Wed Feb 17, 2010 8:12 pm

Just a reminder to all you smokers out there that it's time to get your cod's roe for smoking. Given the price of the ready smoked roe, it's well worth doing and a great project for that CSG that you had for Christmas!

Here's mine from last year:

It makes great Taramosalata.

It's extremely popular here in Sweden (although I don't like it):

- would love to try some home-made sometime. Do you have the recipe for your smoked variety (temperature, time etc)?
