I use to mix tomato ketchup, tomato paste, chili of some kind, worcester sauce, liquid smoke, a drop of lemon and salt and pepper. Dilute with water if too thick.

To pork I might add some powdered ginger and garlic or onion powder as well.

But I know that others here on the forum are real experts in this field! :)

I always highly recommend this site when people ask me for my sauce recipes, all ours are kept quite to ourselves, but this site has some very good info on types of sauces, regions and basic recipes that I can say are quite good.

Hope this helps.

Just saw your Einstein quote...that very much applies to bbq sauces!!!

Here's my rib sauce. I don't know where all covert gluten may lie, but it is wheat-free, and should be able to be made gluten-free by selection of quality ingredients.
