For my birthday I got a copy of the book from my second favorite website

Condiments straightforward enough, no possible shortage of ketchup. Salt mill and pepper mill give a sense of participation.

Of course what counts is the EBCB - brilliant. Chips* rising above the fray the beans create. Bacon and egg like an old married couple.

Yorkshire gold tea on loads of ice, cause 'Merica.

You got it right with the plate presentation, the beans should never be able to touch the egg, a complete 'no-no' in my kitchen. However, tea should be served as hot as possible to cleanse the palate of grease rather than having it cold. Just being a traditionalist......

It's funny, I'd never have chips (fries) with breakfast; I'm OK with fried sliced potatoes, potato cake or 'bubble and squeak' but not chips for some reason...

...and don't get me started on those frozen has brown thingies!

Being a puritanical type I eat mackerel on toast in the morning...

(what witchcraft is this "fried breakfast" you speak of)!?
