Lakeland have sous vide reduced from £150 to just under £60, seems to be when its gone its gone offer as they state they will not be ordering anymore in.
My biggest fear in life is that when I die my wife sells all my stuff for what I told her I paid for it!!

That's not much dearer than a diy solution - great find.

Does that include vac packer?

I got the deal of the century when I bought a "Sous Vide Supreme" 10L bath and vacuum packer for £35 from a car boot sale, all in perfect working order and with two full rolls of textured bags.

I've picked one up from ebay this evening, looking forward to playing with it. I've been tempted for quite a while and took the plunge.

ChefSteps.com has a lot of good sous vide info Jenny, I've just started learning myself. :D

Serious Eats do too.

This book is quite good too. As far as I'm aware it's the only book on sous vide with British measurements/ recipes (no 'cups').

Thanks, that's very useful. It arrives tomorrow, so I'm gearing up for something towards the end of the week. I'll post results.
