Basic Mincers

Postby snagmeup » Thu Sep 03, 2015 10:11 pm

Hi All,
I am torn between 3 mincers here for my first equipment. I will only be making 1 to 2 kilo small batches at home from my local farmers meat.

I can't seem to find any reviews on the forum for this websites own cheap mincer:

The £59 one.
Does anyone have one of these? how are they?

The CB943:

Seems to have good reviews but has plastic plates I think.

Andrew James premium:

Also has some OK reviews.

For a cheap grinder what would you recommend out of these?
All feedback appreciated, thanks :)

For 1-2 kg I'd use one powered by elbow grease and not electricity and spend about £20
I use mine for 10kg at a time. I really don't see the need for electrickery for batches smaller than this.

Having read your other post on stuffers I would suggest that you consider a manual mincer and use the money you save on a better quality/larger capacity stuffer.

Thanks Swing, I now realise its probably a lot better to just use a manual mincer. In fact I think I would prefer to be more hands on.

How are the multi use ones ?
Like the mincer and stuffer one here?

Hi there!

Our grinder is perfect for starting out with - when we've tested it, it works quite well with any type of meat (but no bones). It also comes with a grater attachment perfect for veggies and cheese.

It's quite a durable machine but if anything did go wrong you'd be covered by our two year warranty.

If you have any questions please just drop us a message!

Hope you're well,

I can vouch for the Andrew James one. It's the only mincer / stuffer I've used, and it does the job perfectly.
