Newbie from Holland

Postby dayfox » Tue Nov 10, 2015 5:56 pm

Hi y'all!

Allow me to introduce myself. Dennis, 36 old, working in the meat industry, deboning and stuff.
Got into bbqing the last couple of years, so it's easy to roll in the sausagemaking, want to do all of the stuff myself ofcourse!

I like finding projects to do myself, kinda a DIY kinda guy, and found this thing on the net. A hydro sausage stuffer. Built it and finished it last weekend, tried it and loving it!

Made some tiny jalapeno cheddar sausages to go with some beers with caracter

and ofcourse the bigguns

Anyway, already was a long time lurker, but finally got accepted and hope to make a lot of new "friends" overseas!
I've already seen great recipes and more... Will try some cured sausages!

Thnx for the add,

Regards Dennis

Welcome Dayfox to this great forum. You might be able to share some real Dutch sausage recipes, including home made Rookworst!!

I've only made Rookworst from a ready made spice mix, results were OK but not GREAT.
Maybe you can obtain a butchers recipe with separate spice percentages.
