What to have in the freezer?

Postby Kiltguy » Sat Mar 04, 2017 5:28 am

Hello all - I'm new to the forum, but have been making sausage for a little over a year now. I'm curious what everyone likes to have on hand in the freezer as their staple sausages. Things you never want to run out of. For me, I always like to have these, in the order I use the most.
Italian Sausage
Bratwurst
Bacon Cheddar Brats
Beer Brats
Maple Breakfast Sausage
Chorizo
Andouille

So how about you? What do you keep in the freezer that you want to make again right away when you start get get low?

Merguez
Turkey, spinach & feta
Morcilla
Black pudding
Wheel's Thurlaston sausage
to which I shall probably add my beef & Marmite as a regular

Hmmm, it looks like I need to try Phil's Thurlaston sausage if two out of three posters stock up on it.

When you make it, form some of it into 2 oz. patties for sausage biscuits or for sausage, egg and cheese on English muffins. :D

OK I now have some of Phil's Everyday sausage in the freezer and it won't last long.
Thank you Phil for the great recipe, I'm fascinated with it and your wife is right, I love them in a 24-26 skin.
