Dual Probe Thermometer

Dual Probe Thermometer

Postby Josh » Thu Apr 06, 2006 7:54 am

Maplins used to sell a dual probe (both cordless) thermometer for smoking food. One probe in the meat the other in the smoker. They've stopped selling it. Is there anywhere else in the UK (or worldwide that ships to the UK) that sells them as I'm struggling to find anywhere?

Ta.

Josh

There are a few listed on ebay, type in 'maverick thermometer' the sellers will ship to the Uk, postage a bit steep though.

Have a look at this one. Bit expensive though.

That one at barbecue-online looks to the same model that I bought from Maplin for 4.97 so 40 seems a bit steep!

On the positive side it certainly works very well and does everything you would expect it to.

I need one for my smoker, so maybe all of us who want one should mail Maplin and ask if they can stock it again. If there's enough interest they might get some in. (Or maybe Franco could get some?)
