Suffolk sausages

Does anyone have an authentic recipe for Suffolk sausages. Having tasted them, no others come near for taste. Any help please

Out of interest which did you taste?

I like Newmarket sausages, specifically Musks but his spices are a secret!

Hi and thank you for responding.
To be honest I am not sure. I have friends who live near Saxmunham and used to buy them from the local butcher and bring them up to Nottingham for us. I believe the butcher has now etired and the shop has been taken over, but the sausages still taste as good. The supermarket brands do not come up to scratch.
They have just enough fat to make them moist and the spice combination is wonderful.

Out of 43 butchers which we have listed in Suffolk I notice we have none recommended to us in Saxmundham. I will pop down there later if I get time and see if I can remedy the situation.

It could be J R Creasey (Peasenhall) or K.B Stannard & Sons on the high street, don't suppose either of those ring any bells?

Are you familiar with D White in Braughing (http://sausagefans.com/listing.php?id=446) - we've asked in the past for a recipe but butchers can be secretive (on occassion!)
