Bartbecue Wood

Bartbecue Wood

Postby vinner » Thu Oct 26, 2006 4:36 pm

Has anyone 'cued with peach wood? I seem to remember someone saying they have. I just bought an old peach orchard to develop into homesites. I will keep the vital trees there, but will cut down the dead trees. I just wondered what smoking with peach would be like? If cherry and apple are good (and they are)...

Any thoughts?

Any type of pork smoked with peach wood is fantastic. I like it better then all other woods except for hickory which I use for my bacon.

How hot does it burn compared to hickory or pecan (my basic is pecan because we have so many... i cut 5 cords for firewood this spring.)
