wood chips for smoking

Can anyone tell me what species of wood these chips are on this site please.

I bought some a while back and from the look of them I'd say they were beech.

Beech is a nice smoking wood. Very light smoke with a nice light smoky flavor. My suggestion to you is if you can find a orchard or something like that try and get their clippings. I can get mine for free and a little bit lasts a long time.
