Made some Meguerz Sausages

Postby ando » Thu Mar 22, 2007 4:05 pm

Hi

Made some Meguerz Sausages last night and they turned out great, having never tried the real ones, I cannot say if they are the same or not, but they are from a recipe off here thats reckons they are as good as proper ones.

They are the one on the far right.

Also, on Tuesday I butchered Half a Pig at the local Butchers, its great I order it and they show me where to do all the differant cuts, I find it very interesting to do.

The others in the pic are Plain on the left, then Gloustershire and some that I made up, which to a 10lb total mix, I added 1 oz of mild chilli powder and 1/4 hot paprika and 2oz of plain seasoning.

I've also made some great ones with Thai Green Curry Paste in, again to a 10lb total mix I added 6oz of paste and 2oz of plain seansoning.

Tonight Im going to make the bacon and a nice gammon from the leg.

Cheers

Mark.

They look good, but you'd better get them indoors before the neighborhood dogs and cats discover them!

  I didn't have time last night to hang them for long enough and with there being 2 fridge fulls at the min, I put them in to bag and when I checked them today there was a bit of liquid in the bottom so I thought with it being cold I hang them under the car prot for the afternoon, we've got 2 cat and I'm hoping they are high enough from them!

Cheers

They look very good indeed Ando, as I'm sure all the dogs and cats in your neighbourhood will concur.

  Thanks Jen, when I got home they we're fine, there is a gate at the front of the house so they were safe from the local K9's.
