Gerry Fowler did indeed have quite a few pages on sausage recipes, smoking stuff, equipment, etc, but some years ago he stopped updating his web page. As of about two years ago or so his account / domain closed, no ideas why.

If that's the case, isn't there a risk that the site might get closed down? I think drastic action is called for.

Hi again... Coo err.

I've just gone to that site again and grabbed the a's and the b's. Quite apart from the fact that there are a lot of recipes in dire need of formatting, just those two letters gave me 135 recipes (gulp).

I think I might just have bitten off more than I can chew.

Actually, Gerry Fowler's old domain (northwestsmoking.com) has been out of action for a while now. What you're looking at is a snapshot that was taken and saved by the internet archive.

Whatever I've been looking at, I was able to find an addon for Firefox to download the lot!! I've managed to get 236 recipes onto my database so far, and I have another 372 to deal with. These are a bit trickier, because they aren't in any kind of standard format, so I have to footle about with them before importing. I may be able to extract the meal-master ones and import them easily enough though.

Dunno if it will be any use. Some of the recipes are really pretty obscure. Bear Sausage doesn't really appeal much!
