Caul

Postby Minder » Tue Jul 03, 2007 3:21 pm

Does anyone have a supplier for caul fat. I have tried a couple of online meat suppliers and the local butcher to no avail.

Thanks

Hello Minder,

I don't know where you are, but I've seen it round this area. (Cambridgeshire/Norfolk) Are you making faggots by any chance?

Cheers

If you live in london then any of the TFC butchers will have caul. It's a couple of quid a kilo usually and comes in a big frozen ball.

I often buy it to make sheftalia n the summer or big venison wrapped patties for roasting in the winter.
