I can get hold off Apple wood and maybe pear, and was wondering wether its a good smoking wood ,also would i have to strip the bark and allow to dry out for any period of time

Apple and Pear are good for smoking. You can leave the bark on but dry the wood which should not be green. Drying time can be up to a few months.
