Dave
This is my impression of the tar condenser using Porky Pa's smoker.

What do you think? or am I on the wrong track.

Dave, does the condenser contain water and the inlet pipe sit below the water level?

No Phil, although tarry water collects in it. My concern is that if you use a water bubbler you will be making liquid smoke and leaving all/too much flavour in the condenser.

So where is the water Dave?
Is it in the bottom of the condenser under the smoke inlet pipe or actually in a container under the condenser.
Also Dave I remember a while ago seeing a picture of the air pump you use would you let me know the make and model number.

Thanks

The reason I asked again Dave was because the pump I was using (which was a load of crap) packed in last week.
So I remembered your's but had forgotten (oldtimers disease) the model.

I hope you weren't offended by my teasing :) I forgot to answer your first question and that is that the water collects in the bottom of the condenser.

Dave

Thanks for the ebay link for the pump it arrived yesterday and I tried it out this morning it works great with Porky Pa,s smoker.
The pump that he supplies with the smoker is pretty poor on air flow, next to none.
Whereas I think I could blow my car tires up with this one.

Did you see the thread I posted where I used it on vacuum to collapse a drinks can in a zip-lock plastic bag  ?

I'm glad you're pleased with it.
