After the build was finished she was loaded with untreated lumber and two bags of coal, set alightand once she got going the shelf and grates were tossed in for a good paint removal and cleaning. Once the fire was raging I bolted the doors shut and opend the intakes full bore so the doors wouldnt worp. Once the paint started flaking I took a wire brush and a putty knife to it. Hours later came the flap wheel on the grinder then a tack cloth. Started applying a dusting ofhigh temp paint while still warm.
The next day after cleaning the inside she was given a coat of oil for seasoning, a bag of lump and some nice white oak for curing. After the cure I drank cider ibetwen coats of BBQ paint till she was covered.
I did all the burning and painting behind the local pub.
