In today's market place, the Farmers Market is competitive in larger cities most venders though buy from produce houses. Consumers that visit Farmers Markets in today's market place are focused on local, seasonal, organic or fresh with no preservatives.

As stated in other replies, advertisement of your product is a key facture, simple and to the point can go a long way. most of all when your right their explaining values and product.

Their is something that a person just feels about seeing products on ice or coolers that just spells fresh, it's eye catching and gives you the feeling more care has been given. Grocery stores simply can't match that no matter how many plastic greens they place around things.

I think that people today, that visit Farmers Markets are looking for that home made home grown, healthier product without that grocery store price

Good Luck with it

HI JD

I purchased a small display fridge when I set out and I haul this around with me each and evry market. It is necessary as you say, not only to give confidence but also it shows care about what you are doing. I was fortunate to have been a marketing director in a previous life and it has stood me in good stead.

Re displays, I am toying with the idea of getting a digital photo frame (I think that is what you call them) and up loading my catering pictures on it and displaying it at the markets to show what else I can do as it were.

Anyway thanks for your comments

Cheers WW

Great Pic's WW thanks for sharing! You have a nice looking kitchen there, I'm a bit envious to say the least. And did you make the pies?, I couldn't figure how to enlarge the pic but they sure look good non the less.

Hi Dan

Yep I sure did make the pies. I tend to hand chop all the meat that goes into them which takes me bloomin ages and then cut them in half at the market so the consumer can see exactly what goes into them.

Ref the photo, if you double left hand click on your mouse it will take you into my photobucket site and you can enlarge from there and also I have posted more food related pics on the site - if you can bear to go through them!

Cheers WW

WW

I'd like to re-iterate what others have said - everything looks superb.

However, I fancied a nosy at your kitchen and pies, but like Dan can't see a way of enlarging the photos even when I 'click through' to Photobucket?
