Cranberry Vodka

Postby cath61 » Sun Dec 12, 2010 7:25 pm

Decanted my first litre of this today and it tastes lovely. It was really simple too.
1 litre cheap vodka
250g fresh or frozen cranberries
25g caster sugar

Sterilise a 1.5l kilner jar. Pour in the vodka and the sugar. If using frozen cranberries just tip straight in, fresh cranberries prick them with a fork and then add to the vodka mix.
Seal the jar and shake.
Shake the jar everyday for the next 10 days. Gradually thefolour will change to a lovely red colour.
After 10 days decant into bottles
Store in the fridge and serve in shot glasses or dilute with lemonade.

I have made it for the teachers at school!
