Just wondering as it seems the latest thing in catering mags, has anyone smoked any or bought any, if so whats it like.

It ain't cheap is it? I suppose it is one way to add value to one of the most common commodities in the world.

Smoked Chilies

Chipotle chilies from Mexico are smoked Jalape�os. In Chile they also have an oak smoked chili that are smoked until dry, latter ground to a powder. I tried the latter for the first time last week and they were awesome on grilled Arrechera (Chilean style flank steak - I believe).

I'm hickory smoking some Chile Cabro (Habaneros or Scotch Bonnet). I'll post results when done. Anybody tried anything similar?

Epicurohn, have you smoked the chilllis yet, just wondering how long to smoke some for?
