Double Boarger

Postby grisell » Sun Jan 30, 2011 10:23 pm

Very few Swedes make their own hamburgers, but I made this today and it was the best one I've ever had. I thought I'd share it with you.

350 g minced wild boar meat, in two burgers
½ loaf of bread, cut in three slices lengthwise, lightly toasted
3 slices streaky bacon
2 slices Cheddar cheese
Dijon mustard (or American)
Your favourite salsa
Lettuce, shredded
Pickled cucumber, sliced
Onion, sliced
Tomato, sliced
Salt and pepper

On the bottom slice mustard, onion, lettuce and cucumber. On the middle and top slices salsa and tomato. On the lower burger cheese, on the upper grilled bacon. The burgers are only seasoned with salt and pepper.

Bravo André, that monster looks out of this world! But where's the mayo?
Dagwood would be proud.

17 cm/6½" high! :) You're right about the mayo. I don't like it. Otherwise, I think mayo would be best on the bottom bread, on top of the veggies.

First time I ate fresh wild boar. Delicious!
