Cool camera! Looks like a good place to set up some snares. Do you hunt the Emu's?

Bush chooks would be protected but the deer is free for all
yet to take the plunge still researching

yep the Emu's are protected.
The Deer are a bit of a pest, I'm not sure the game council realises how much of a threat they are. (or will be if left unchecked.)
They imposed a season on 4 of 7 species of deer in september 2004.
Hog Deer can only be hunted in April, while Red, Wapiti & Fallow deer can only be hunted March to October.
Chital, Sambar and Rusa can be hunted all year round.
You need a hunting licence unless you are a farmer shooting on your own property
