Anybody use Jalapeno Flakes??

I want to make some jalapeno and wild rice sausage. I went to a supplier in Winnipeg the other day to buy ground jalapeno and they didn't have any. They gave me a big sample bag of jalapeno flakes to try.
Anybody have any experience with this stuff? Do you use more or less than the ground variety? Any other recipes you might suggest to use with this?

I would think if you go by weight it would be 1 to 1, ground for flakes
