It was at the first KCBS sanctioned BBQ comp in the UK.

I'll write more later.

I hope you managed some tastes to compare to your first attempts. Even BriCan is warming up to BBQ (thanks to vagreys). :D

Regrettably not, they did a KCBS Judges Course on Friday, and I was invited. Regrettably, it wasn't to be, due to my health. Passing out halfway through judging a bbq comp, wouldn't be a 'good look'!

(It broke my heart to turn it down though)

The competitors were raising money for 'Help for Heroes'.

I was amazed, the people with the £10,000 trailer bbq don't run it commercially, they just do it for fun; and to raise money for 'Help for Heroes'.

That's some major commitment!

Right. :D You are probably more than half way there now. You can taste it in the food. I hope your health improves soon or at least in time for the next event, you would make a great judge.
