The perfect steak...

Postby denty632 » Tue May 28, 2013 12:52 am

This was on my 2nd favourite website recently, www.thechive.com. The Chive is slightly NSFW, but is an excellent read all the same ;)

Any how, the link turned up on leenks.com (many many NSFW's there my friends) but this one is...

Enjoy, it is very American but made me smile!

Made me smile!!
What some call health, if purchased by perpetual anxiety about diet, isn't much better than tedious disease.

looked good
but
salted way too early
put pepper on after cooking not before (burnt bitter pepper and less caramelised meat otherwise)
I start mine fat side down first to render it and give me meat fat to cook the steak in and add flavour,
I use the flip flip flip Blumenthal method and it works

rested not long enough
yet to take the plunge still researching
