Where can I buy rusk in Canada?

Where to buy, how to use. Stuffers, casings, spices, grinders, etc.

Where can I buy rusk in Canada?

I'm not finding it here in Ontario. Cracker crumbs only, so far.

One of the commercial suppliers in Toronto offers rusk, but at about three times what it costs to import from the UK. BriCan should be able to point you in the right direction; I think he was using them at one time. The economy rusk recipe on this site makes a pretty good rusk for home use. Rusk is basically a thick cracker, after all.

Maybe I'll just have to use cracker crumbs.

For small quantities, you could make your own:

We have just made some using that recipe and fair play it looks great we did not use a grater tho we whizzed it in the food processor and it did a grand job.

I do that whilst it's hot. I then spread it on trays to dry further. I've always made my own rusk, I only need small amounts so I've never bought it.

I know -- Johnny come lately -- but some av to work ;)

It seems as though you have things sorted which is good ... Keep on making what you need as it will be a darn site cheaper, that's if you can find someone to sell you in small amounts.
UniPac is the supplier http://www.unipac.ca/sections/contact-us -- comes in a 25kg bag and cost me $100 on the other hand as vagreys has said I import mine which cost all in $30 - $35 a bag

I too shall be looking into having someone make some up for me using the recipe you have used

By the way ....... Welcome :)
But what do I know

If you are able to drive to Burlington, Malabar Super Spice is my favourite place to go for all things sausage. It is a small commercial supplier but every Friday and Saturday they are open to the public for walk ins. I'm sure they can send orders out to you, never tried though. They do have rusk and it is available in multiple sizes ... I get my cures and binders from them exclusively ... http://malabarsuperspice.com/i_meat-processing.htm
