Lancashire v Wensleydale

Postby Mike D » Wed Aug 13, 2008 4:39 pm

No, the subject line is not about a County Cricket match, but I would like to know the difference between a Lancashire and a Wensleydale. They both look alike, have a similar texture and from memory a simlar taste. Can anybody enlighten me??

Thanks,

Mike.

Mike
Questions like this could re-ignite the Wars of the Roses!
My recollection is that Lancashire is more crumbly.

Re-ignite??? A ceasefire has never been called as far I know

Is that all there is to it? I suppose the less weight you press with in the mould, the more crumbly the texture??
